Name of experiment:drive coil to achieve LED lighting test

LED(Light Emitting Diode) is a solid-state semiconductor device that can convert electrical energy into visible Light. It can directly convert electrical energy into light energy. For such applications, Aigtek uses a power amplifier to drive the coil to complete the LED Light lighting test

Test equipment:Signal generator, ATA-3040 power amplifier, oscilloscope, a pair of mutual inductance coils, LED light

Inductance effect principle:

Provide an excitation signal (sine wave)to power amplifier by the signal generator , power amplifier output a large current to the coil, when the current passes through the coil, there’s a  magnetic field induction formed in the coil, and the induced magnetic field will produce induced current to resist the current in the coil, this kind of interaction relations with the coil current is called electrical impedance.

When two inductance coils are close to each other, the magnetic field change of one inductance coil will affect the other inductance coil, and this effect is mutual inductance. The mutual inductance depends on the degree of coupling between the self-inductance of the inductance coil and the two inductance coils. The element made by this principle is called transformer.

Experimental process:

The function signal generator outputs a 67kHz, 3Vp-p sinusoidal signal. The ATA-3040 power amplifier amplifies the voltage signal and drives a coil with a given large current. By changing the distance between the drive coil and the receiving coil, the inductance effect is generated, which generates different electric fields and controls the brightness of the LED light.

Result of experiment:

The ATA-3040 provides a high current to drive the coils, so that the inductance effect between the coils is formed, so as to realize wireless charging to light the LED light.
