Application of RF Power Amplifiers in the Calibration Protocol for Acoustic Field Characterization of Ultrasonic Transducers

Author:Aigtek Number:0 Date:2025-11-12

Experimental Name: Application of RF Power Amplifier in the Calibration Protocol for Acoustic Field Characterization of Ultrasonic Transducers

Introduction: JJF1650-2017 specifies the metrological characteristics, calibration conditions, and calibration methods for the radiated acoustic fields of ultrasonic transducers used in ultrasonic non-destructive testing. This metrological protocol is applicable to planar ultrasonic transducers and focused ultrasonic transducers with frequencies in the range of (0.5-15) MHz. The Aigtek ATA-8202 RF power amplifier, with a bandwidth covering 100kHz-20MHz, a maximum output power of 200W, and utilizing a Class A amplification circuit offering low distortion characteristics, perfectly meets the performance requirements for power amplifiers outlined in the JJF1650-2017 metrological protocol.

Experimental Equipment: Signal generator, ATA-8202 RF power amplifier, planar/focused transducer, hydrophone, preamplifier, oscilloscope, computer, etc.

Experimental Items: Near-field length / Focal length, Beam diameter, Beam spread angle, Depth of field
