Experimental Setup Diagram

Figure 1: Experimental Setup Diagram

A Gaussian pulse generated by the signal generator is fed into the ATA-2041 high-voltage amplifier for distortion-free pulse amplification, resulting in a high-voltage pulse signal. Owing to the excellent linear amplification capability of the ATA-2041 high-voltage amplifier, the high-voltage signal retains the exact same signal characteristics as the edited signal in the signal generator, ensuring accurate excitation of the modal frequency band required for longitudinal guided waves. The excited guided waves are further utilized to detect stress.

Experimental Results:

The guided waves generated by exciting the piezoelectric transducer array using the ATA-2041 high-voltage amplifier can accurately measure the axial stress of the steel pipe. As shown in the attached figure below, the voltage amplitude of the received signal reaches 0.1 V, indicating that the guided wave signal generated by the excitation signal has an excellent signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). This serves as the hardware foundation for ensuring good consistency in the measurement results. Additionally, the shape of the L(0,2) direct wave signal demonstrates the effective linear amplification of the power amplifier, experimentally eliminating the influence of extraneous errors on the results. This forms the experimental basis for ensuring the validity of the analysis.
