Application of the ATA-4315 High Voltage Power Amplifier in the Study of Bioelectric Stimulation Technology

Author:Aigtek Number:0 Date:2025-09-29

Bioelectric stimulation technology has a wide range of applications in the fields of medicine and biological sciences, including neuroscience research, biomedical engineering, and rehabilitation medicine. For example, in neuroscience research, by recording and analyzing bioelectric signals, we can understand the connections and communication between neurons; in biomedical engineering, electrophysiological detection can be used to diagnose and monitor heart diseases, muscle diseases, and nervous system diseases; in rehabilitation medicine, electrical stimulation can be used to restore and improve muscle function.

Aigtek's power amplifiers can provide alternating current (AC) electrical signals to the biological specimens in bioelectric stimulation experiments. With a wide frequency range, they are suitable for various bioelectric stimulation experiments.

Experiment Title: Study of Bioelectric Stimulation Technology

Experiment Principle:Bioelectric stimulation is a technique that involves applying external electrical signals to a biological organism to induce electrophysiological and biological responses within it. This is mainly reflected in the nervous and muscular systems of the organism. When external electrical signals are applied to a biological organism, they can change the potential difference of nerve cells, thereby activating or inhibiting the activity of neurons. In the muscular system, external electrical stimulation can cause muscle contraction or relaxation. This is done to achieve therapeutic, rehabilitative, or health-promoting goals.

Experiment Process:

The signal generator provides a signal to the ATA-4315 high voltage power amplifier, which is connected to the electrode pads. In this experiment, mice with arrhythmia were selected as the test subjects. The electrode pads were placed on the heart position of the mice. The stimulation signal was a pulse wave with a frequency of 1-160Hz, a pulse width of 2-500us, and an amplitude that gradually increased from zero. The physiological responses and electrocardiogram (ECG) data of the mice during electrical stimulation were analyzed.

Experimental Results:During electrical stimulation, as the frequency increased, the speed of muscle contraction and nerve conduction accelerated. The greater the amplitude of the electrical signal, the greater the degree of muscle contraction and nerve conduction. The pulse width corresponds to the duration of the electrical stimulation. Based on continuous experiments, a frequency of 100Hz, a pulse width of 500us, and an amplitude of 15Vpp were selected for electrical stimulation treatment of the mice. ECG observations showed that the arrhythmia of the mice was alleviated.
